Smart-IT can integrate with multiple eCommerce Platforms.
The following platforms are currently being supported: Prestashop, WooCommerce, and Shopify.

The table below is a summary of the integrations with Smart-IT and WooCommerce / Shopify / Prestashop. This can assist you in the decision-making when considering a new webshop platform.

Prestashop, WooCommerce & Shopify have their own monthly fees and once-off fees.

Shopify Needs to be on the Grow Package as a minimum as the Basic Package does not include Protected customer data access, which Smart-IT needs to import Orders

All Prices are displayed as VAT exclusive.
Additionally, you will need at minimum the Smart-IT Base as well as the Smart-IT Sales Order Module.

General Considerations

Please note that we integrate with the basic installation of each platform. We generally do not support features added by plugins.

Smart It does not provide design and customization for your Shopify or Prestashop websites but we do offer WooCommerce websites please see websitedev.co.za

  • Prestashop has some fields that WooCommerce does not example: Custom Messages for Out of Stock Items.

Shopify Pros vs. Cons

Pros for Shopify

  • No need to worry about hosting or version upgrades
  • Extensive (paid) modules and themes
  • User-friendly control panel
  • Can be incorporated with a WordPress website with a plugin

Cons for Shopify

  • Certain things can be impossible to change
  • Limited category levels
  • More expensive generally

Prestashop Pros vs. Cons

Pros for Prestashop

  • Extensive builtin function others need plugins for
  • Flexible – a web designer can change almost anything
  • Themes and modules available

Cons for Prestashop

  • Prestashop gives you more control and options so it can be less user-friendly.
  • Add-ons and themes can be expensive
  • Less well-known to local web developers
